  • 1,200 x 444 pixels (width x height)
  • 8:3 image ratio
  • 20% or less of the image is text

You can also use a video in your advertisement, and you can choose from videos that are already on your Facebook page or upload a new video. The Facebook ad specs for uploaded videos are:

  • .mov or .mp4 format
  • 720p resolution or higher
  • Widescreen or 16:9 aspect ratio preferred
  • 120 minutes or 2.3 GB maximum file size

If you want a moving video but don’t want to upload an actual video, you can choose 3-7 images to be displayed as a slideshow that will autoplay.

Make sure that all of the copy you include is highly targeted to your audience and brief. Adding more information often backfires, so instead focus on:

  • Keeping the information in the ad short
  • Including a price or offer
  • Using keywords your audience might search for
